CARRBORO, N.C. -- An early morning concrete pour is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 17. This will be pour number 6 of 9 for the parking deck structure. The pour will take place from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Roberson Street will be closed to through-traffic between Maple Ave Extension and S. Greensboro Street. The next concrete pour (7 of 9) is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 31.
AT&T will continue working on Greensboro Street this week.
Crews remain busy with interior construction. The first-floor library has been roughed-in and crews are working on completing the rough-in on the second and third floors. The roof is nearly finished and the brick will start to go up soon.
The project is on track to finish next summer.
The $42 million development will be the future home of the Orange County Southern Branch Library. The facility will also provide a permanent home for the Orange County Skills Development Center; Carrboro Recreation, Parks and Cultural Resources Department; WCOM Radio; and performance/multipurpose uses. The 203 Project will provide opportunities for education, art and community connection.
